A very rushed post
Just outside Westminster Cathedral today...
I thought I'd refrain from posting anything substantial about this uproar about the Pope's speech, since I'm sure other bloggers can put things more eloquently than me. ( here and here and here : "If the Pope does not appear on TV and apologise ... we will blow up all of Gaza's Churches" and here: a priest's calm take on things.).
Unfortunately after Mass today at Westminster Cathedral it was shoved in my face. Holy Mass on a Sunday is the very source and summit of the Catholic week, so my family decided this Sunday to make the trip to Westminster Cathedral together. As we came out about 100 Islamists were chanting slogans such as "Pope Benedict go to Hell" "Pope Benedict you will pay, the Muja Hadeen are coming your way" "Pope Benedict watch your back" and other pretty hateful things. I'll post more pictures of it when I get more free time. It was a pretty nasty demonstration. From 11 - 3pm they chanted absurd things, literally just outside the Cathedral. And from 11- 3pm (and indeed all day, every day) like every day of the week, faithful Catholics and non-Catholics (mainly tourists) wondered in and out of the magnificent Church, largely ignoring the furore of hatred this crowd of muslims was trying to stir up.

As I say I'll post more pics when I've a bit more spare time.
I had an interesting conversation with a policeman about it, who reckonned that some of them might be prosecuted.
I feel a bit uneasy posting the above, so any supportive comments would be very much appreciated!
Post Scriptum: Away from home... a nun was indeed killed by muslim protesters, aswell as Churches fire bombed and shot at.
_______
Having recieved over a hundred hits in the last 30 mins I thought I'd stop thinking about putting some more pics of the protest on and actually just do it. I'll put more comments on tomorrow.

Above:There were about 100 police around and about keeping an eye on things and video recording the protestors. I asked if they'd be prosecuted, and the policeman sounded edgey. He said they'd been warned about their behaviour already but arresting any of them might just fuel them up ever more.
They had their eye on this guy (above) though.

I kept trying to take a photo of this little girl (above) - about 7 years old I reckon, but every time I pointed the camera she put the sign she was holding in front of her face. So eventually when she looked away I took the photo. Since her face was covered I didn't think it was unfair to do so. If her face had not been covered I wouldn't have taken her pic.

These 2 above are taken from the tower at Westminster Cathedral where I prayed the rosary for them before taking some photos from that height. Unfortunately this tree was in the way of the actual protesters but you can see the women behind covered up preparing banners and food and the likes. You can also see they weren't getting much attention for all their shouting. Just out of sight are the police vans.
"ISLAM WILL CONQUER ROME". erm... I think not actually.
All photos are copyright. To use them you must have permission.
Addendum: I've had to turn comment moderation on again since some of the comments show as much hatred as these extremists in the pictures. Please do leave your comments - they're very welcome and there are some very interesting ones I'd invite you to read... but remember...
1) These were 100 Muslims out of the 2 million (ish?) living in Britain. Thus this is hardly representative of all muslims.
2) The Pope's speech reiterated Christ's words to love your enemies, and not to commit violence in the name of religion. Further, Christ gives us a difficult commandment (Mt 5:28) that even to think of evil is as bad as committing it. Hateful comments won't be published.

Young Dr Blogs - congratulations. At last you have witnessed to your faith in the face of your enemies. It is all too easy for us
Oops -didn't finish what I had to say - you have witnessed to your faith in the face of your enemeies. Suburban Catholics like me are in general able to practice our faith in peace. At least you are able to show these barbarians (I do not apply that description to all Muslims, merely those who would impose a Caliphate on Christendom) that you are willing to stand up and be counted.
I'm sure the martyrs of London are smiling on you and I pray they are praying for all of us.
Thank you very much for your comments, really I just took some photo's on a not very professional looking camera! But I hope the few ppl that see these photos on my blog will gain something from them.
On the subject of martyrs, my friend tells me a nun in the middle east was killed today... don't know much about it though....
I second what Paulinus says. And you have also given a witness to the hypocrisy of those Muslims who complain about being insulted on the one hand while giving grievous offence on the other. Well done.
Sorry to hear about this unpleasant event - But it looks like it will work out to be a learning experience for many church goers. I'll link to this post on my blog in Catholic Malta - I'm sure my punters will be interested in this.
Feel free to link this deepdiver, cheers for the comment. I'll have to stick the rest of the pics on tomorrow with more comments. I'm now linked on four websites and getting a hit every 5 seconds according to my sitemeter. Exciting times we live in.
Excellent work. Charles at LGF has linked to this post...

We love it, thanks!
this is the same intimidating gang that threatened the Danes outside their embassy. Pitching up and saying their hateful things at the Cathedral is their way of saying "we know where you live". Forget these people. They have not read the Pope's speech. They do not wish to have any dialogue - there is nothing they want other than sharia law in the uk, for which they can whistle as it aint gonna happen. I am sure the Pope will stand firm, which he can best do by not further elaborating on his comments
Joee Blogs, that was super. We all have two jobs now. Our old work and the new work of fighting the war declared on us. Whatever we can add to the understanding of the situation, whatever we can do, it's all valuable.
Thanks for highlighting the present crisis and confrontation with Islam in local terms.
As a British citizen, I really hope that our government will now do something about the threat from Islam and Islamism - not just in words, but in deeds.
Joee,
It's unfortunate you or any other person need to put up with that kind of nonsense.
You've just been drafted as a civilian soldier in the fight to allow peaceful worship of your choosing.
Keep fighting the good fight.
-A Yank from across the pond.
God Bless you brother in the Lord and friend for being a true witness to your faith. I am not suprised that there is protest. The pope simply cited the historic record. The Muslims have to face up to their history, they cannot forever live in deniel.
I have post-linked this on my blog.
I agree with knit knack. Joee don't ever apologize for telling the truth or standing up for your religion or culture.
The people in your pictures are masked thugs.
They are proving that the Pope's comments are long overdue.
Terry Gain
Thank you, Dr. Blogs, for this post! You have helped expose the hatred and hypocrisy rotting beneath the polished "Religion of Peace" facade. They feel free to curse and insult the Pope - but if you speak the truth about their beloved war-mongering Mohammed, well then a little jihad should help you feel the real peace of Islam.
They are lucky that Catholicism truly is a peaceful religion. Stay safe, and please accept our best wishes from San Francisco.
Hey Joe thanks for the pictures
May I repost your pictures and comments to:

welcome to the blogosphere.
Lgf (the biggest blog on the western hemisphere)have picked up on your post, your hits will shoot up today.
excellent post, I hope the events did not disturb you, now you see what we are up against, another voice is allways welcome
Sure you can Dave, thanks for askin'. Perhaps you'd be so kind as to mention that this Catholic prayed the rosary for their intentions, as did many many other Catholics inside Westminster Cathedral.
Congratulations.
You have shown more resolve than the police will.
As for the murdered Nun, it shows that Christian martyrs die defending and caring for the innocent...while muslim martyrs die killing the innocent.
great work mate. these animals need exposing
Thanks for posting these pictures. Citizen journalism at its best. What's the deal with all the face-coverings? If they believe in what they say, why are they afraid to show their faces?
I read on one blog that the police were posted outside the Catholic churches in Manhattan today in anticipation of behavior like this (or worse).
We haven't been to Mass yet today (Texas, USA) and I am very curious as to what the sermon will be about. I hope the subject isn't dodged in favor of yet another "we should all hold hands and be happy" sermon.
Thanks again from a fellow Catholic. B16 needs our prayers now more than ever.
Joe - thanks! You and your fellow Soldiers of Christ did good. May Our Lady watch over you always.
Well done Joee for exposing this bunch of islamofascists. They do their faith no favours whatsoever and will in the end cause only themselves more problems. I can concur with Doug Shaw this is the same bunch of thugs who demonstrated outside the Danish Embassy it's just a shame our useless police service couldn't be a bit more pro-active.
As you can see you are getting support from all walks of life and politcal leanings in Britain, indeed across the globe. There are many many people who support you Joee. Much more than you will ever know.
You have my best wishes
Great pictures. Thank you for exposing them as the animals that they are. Welcome to the good fight.

Joee Bloggs
Great pictures -a pro could not have done better.
Your patience and fortitude in the face of such provocation, is a credit to you.
God Bless you.

The most sereious threat is from within - and it is not terrorism but the insiduous change of our tolerant society to stealth islamisation.
Complain at complaints@met.police.uk
Good work. What makes me think we won't be seeing any of this on the BBC?
These people are horrible thugs and should be prosecuted with the full weight of the law.
complain about the london protests regarding the pope email complains@met.police.uk
let the police know we demand arrests
Wonder why Your Government allows such behavior, and why The Human Wrights are silent. This people belongs in prison ore back in the bananatrees!
Linked at my blog, too.
If these savages think they can mess with our Pope, they have another thing coming.
People like you are at the forefront of confronting this evil that your country once again faces. Unfortunately I read that more people attend mosque than church in London. Let's hope that your countrymen wakeup and that a new Churchill comes along.
Many thanks for witnessing and reporting on this disgraceful Muslim crowd They seem to be doing their best to disturb people's Sunday worship. Christians don't congregate outside mosques with covered faces.
Everything they do seems to confirm our worst suspicions of these sorry and lost folk.
They tear down churches around the world. Muslims sadly have a terrible record.
We must stand firm.
JoeeBlogs - amazing, isn't it, that we as Christians are expected to practice "religious tolerance" when it comes to Islam, no matter how ugly, hostile, or out and out violent they become toward us...but, when the tables are turned, when we defend our faith and our beliefs, the same "religious tolerance" does not exist toward us.
Keep witnessing, brother -
Joe
Don't let them frighten you, or even make you feel nervous. You've done well today.
As well as LGF, Gandalf - comment above - posted you on Up Pompeii too.
Why don't you organise a reciprocal demo for Regent's Park mosque next Friday? See how THEY like it?
I'm not religious, and if, even a month ago, someone told me I'd be supporting the - any - Pope 100% at any time in the future I'd have laughed. After this past week, the laugh would have been on me.
this was ignored by the BBC what a suprise,it has been too busy attacking the pope.

I linked to you, as well, from my modest little blog. The more people that see this the better.
Good job!
PS:
erm.. and my blog is called Jedi Meditations.

Good on ya, Brit!
Joe, thanks for sharing the photos. Im sorry you had to face all that unpleasantness. I truly hope prosecutions are forthcoming for such unnecessary hatred. And thanks for the earlier police email so the complaints can start pouring in please.
Many thanks for posting those pictures and outlining your experience.

complain about the london protests regarding the pope email complains@met.police.uk
Rabbit did you make that address up?!
Complaints is spelt with a t.
You can however complain on their website here
At Mass today (not London):
"We pray for Pope Benedict, that he may bring understanding to those of different faith - even those whose misunderstanding is deliberate. Lord hear us.
Lord, graciously hear us".
Excellent, Joee. And now I've sent them to Drudge.
The digital camera! Don't leave home without it.
An American author and former priest, James Carroll, has pointed out that the Holocaust may have been the inevitable culmination of many centuries of European theological and racial hatred and persecution of the Jews.
Thus, it is amazing to me, a descendant of Holocaust survivors, to find that I owe compliments to the maturity and humanity of modern Christianity, compared to Islam.
Christianity has finally put into practise Enlightenment ideals (or, if you will, practical application of Christ's own admonition to "turn the other cheek"). Whether Rome's Nostra Aetate or the French Church's "Declaration of Repentance," Christianity has begun to recognise the criminal wrongs it has committed, to assume moral responsibility for its actions, to (mostly) reject proselytisation by force, to preach tolerance towards other religions, and to accept gracefully (to a certain extent) separation of church and state.
Daily, in mosques and radio broadcasts and newspapers, the Muslim world calls Jews "sons of apes and pigs" and calls for our extermination. It is with amazement and appreciation that I note the voices raised in objection are not only Jewish but Christian as well.
The convergence of our weltanschauung is indeed amazing. The conception of committing violence out of nothing more than pride, because one's religion has been "insulted," is now foreign both to Christianity and Judaism -- but typifies Islam.
My people's survival may now depend upon Christianity's success in resisting Islamic barbarism.
How strange and ironic is history, which brings me to say: May Christianity (and Christian tolerance) flourish!
Most men can speak truth but only brave men can speak the whole truth.Islam is not a religion. It is an ideology which promotes dominance over all people of the world. Keep up the good work. We need all the information we can get about the realities of our relationship with the Islamic world.
These people shouldn't be prosecuted.
They should be deported.
ASAP.
How does one practice one’s faith in the face of violence, hatred, irrationality and threats?
Some will give way to doubts and fear, and will remain silent.
Others will offer excuses.
To do either is to submit to evil, and this is what they covet.
We need more truth and courage in the face of such evil.
And this is what you have done.
Thank you for this.
May peace be with you.
Great post, thanks for filling in one of those little gaps the BBC leaves.
You are why we need the internet.
I heard nothing of this in the mainstream media.
Here is a little youtube slideshow for you to enjoy

Well done Joee Blogs.
It would be good to think that our political leaders and the police would do something about this hatred these immigrants show to the indigenous population of our Christian country.
I am an atheist myself but was brought up Church of England and despair at the pathetic attempts of the CofE hierachy to appease the militant islamists in our midst.
Anyone who has the spirit to know the truth and speak out has my utmost respect.
I thank you.
Thanks for posting those photos. It is so important that ordinary people like us see these.
Were there any journalists (preferably from the high circulation Tabs) in view? If not you ought to email The Sun (who will definitely be interested btw).
Remember, everytime these idiots do this they're just exposing themselves for what they are, and the more publicity they get, the more harm it does to their cause.
Thanks again.
no i didnt make the police complaints address up, i just didnt double check i spelt it correctly, sorry Jonz!!!! i have been posting the complaints address in various places so people can tell the Met what they think about todays london protest.
want to protest about the muslim demo?? email complaints@met.police.uk yes thats complaints with a "t"
Unfortunately things will get worse even though the Pope has apologised.
No doubt his motivations are pure, he is the good shepherd seeking to protect his flock. (There are many Christians in Islamic countries who can be lynched at the whim of the local mullah)
But from the Muslim point of view, the Pope has been forced to grovel before the advancing power of Islam.
This will greatly boost the barbarians' triumphalism, arrogance and machismo. They will see their enemy's humiliation as an invitation for a campaign of ever more violent aggression against the decadent, cowering Christian wussies.
So it will still be open season on Christians in Dar al-Islam, as the murder of the nun (post apology) has shown.
This is an evil day not just for Catholicism, but for wider Christendom and for the whole of Dar al-Harb. This is our Munich.
The jihadists are on a roll, they've scented blood. It will take someone of the stature of Churchill to stop them now.
As a Protestant you have my complete support. As one old gentleman said on ITV 11.00pm news today "Its disgraceful we wouldent get away with doing that outside a mosque."
I saw this featured briefly on I think ITV or SKY, a man coming out of the Cathedral seemed pretty annoyed at them (unsuprisingly!) and said to the journalist - "Imagine if we tried to do that outside a mosque, we wouldnt be allowed!"
How true I thought! Lets just picture it
An angry crowd of catholics turn up outside the main mosque in London, replace the banners that read "ISLAM WILL CONQUER ROME" with "Christianity will conquer Mecca" I reckon they would all be truncheoned and thrown into the back of copper vans before you can say 1 hail mary.
Personally, Im a real defender of free speech and don't have a problem with people screaming and shouting rubbish no matter how rude. What gets my goat is the complete double standards, why should they have more free speech rights than others!!!!
Joee!
The commenter "Seven Star Hand" at 3:08 P.M. has started posting his obsessed drivel on my blog too. Twice now. Similar messages. He repeats his message of "proof that religion is the opposite of truth, wisdom, and justice".
I filter my commenters before allowing or not allowing their comments to appear on my blog.
Since you don't filter, I recommend the way to discourage "Seven Star Hand" is to delete his comments. Otherwise, you may start getting spam from him or from others.
Great work, Joee ! I linked to you
Try doing it outside a mosque with placards that say. "Mohamed burns in hell" "Muslims suck dick". then someone from the MSM might actually cover the story.
Excellent work. Just thought you Catholics might know that your Pope is commanding huge respect from many outside your faith. Islam is indeed a violent totalitarian ideology, as can easily be seen from round-ups such as this of the salient parts of their religious texts. Many millions of people are now waking up to this reality, and so we stand much more of a chance of defending ourselves politically.
Thank you very much for the photos, and God bless you for the rosary that you prayed for the souls of the protesters with their vile signs insulting the Holy Father. I struggle with my anger and the temptation to hatred on a daily basis. I too turn to the rosary to help me remember Our Lord's command to pray for those who persecute and do evil to us.
Again, God bless you.
Well done Joee. Out here in the suburbs of south London we were certainly aware of the situation. Our local Police (two mountain bikes and a local patrol car, kept cruising around the block keeping a friendly eye on us.
Today was the last Mass of our Priest as he goes to another Parish this week. So with a large farewell party going on in our car park the Police thought it wise to keep an eye out in case any local Moslems mistook our party for some Catholic Triumphalist celebration!
Talk about totalitarian! Just imagine the Muslim reaction if instead of "Islam will conquer Rome" and "Jesus is the slave of Allah" somebody held up placards reading as follows:
CHRISTIANITY WILL CONQUER MECCA
MUHAMMAD IS THE SLAVE OF JESUS.
You did really well. I'm blown away that you prayed for them, if I'd been there I'd be in jail now (and it would be worth it to me).
I'm not Catholic but you inspire me. I'll pray for the Pope (who I really like), for you and all Catholics, and I'll ask God to give me the grace to follow your example and pray for these members of the satanic religion Islam.
I hope the world is watching and not worried about insulting these bastards. Look at how contradictory they are. Peaceful religion my butt.
How about coming over here to the States and pulling some of that crap here in Oklahoma?
I got your Allah right here!
Joee,
I lived in London for several years (now back in the U.S.) and it's so distressing as to what's going on there...keep up your good work! We need to know what's going on, and the UK needs to realize how big a problem these extremists are! You have our support!!
Good work Joee, shedding light on the vile actions of members of the Muslim community.
religion of peace?...
islam means peace?...
Not from what i see on the t.v. and newspapers day in and day out.
when will muslims stop their non sense.
so sick of them always playing the victim.
quick enough to take non muslim money though.
Well done my friend, Fidei Defensor is just a name I blog under, but truly such a title belongs to you!
I figured this would get little, if any, news coverage. Thank you!
My first thought was... in the past Gay groups have had big protests outside US Cathedrals (I'll bet similar things have happend in London.) What if Gay Protestors and Muslims Protestors had shown up on the same day?
My second thought, now had you, instead of praying the Rosary after Mass, went over to the Muslims and punched one of them in the face (surely a temptation), you can bet that would be newsworthy, another example of Catholic violence and intolerance just like the inqusition.
It is good to see that the Police, while their hands were probably tied by the powers that be, were sympathetic. I wonder if this will be true in a few decades when a huge percent of the cops are Muslim.
I am thankful that we don't have to put up with this kind of thing in the US, somtimes we forget how good we have it.
For a long time I had been planning on spending a semester in England, but stuff like this is really pushing me away from wanting to visit that country...
Anyway I pray that St. George protect and defend England's Catholics and their Churches from the modern day dragons.
I'll have to link to your post from my humble blog soon!
if you stood outside a mosque with a "Rome with Conquer Mecca" sign, you'd be arrested. i have no doubt about it.
heck - why NOT do that?
and make sure you video it as well.
Scary stuff. I'm very concerned by the rise of the right wing. These facist thugs need to relax a little. Their anger shows a lack of faith.

An article by an Indian in an Indian newspaper, supports the position of the Pope.
Since Pope Benedict XVI delivered his scholarly but contentious lecture in Regensburg last Wednesday, an equally unlikely assortment of individuals bound by a common distaste for Islamist terrorism have been whispering the counter-proclamation: "We are all Papists now."
Before rushing to take rival positions in the trench warfare of civilisations, it is prudent to remember that the contemporary Islamist assault on the "decadent" West, epitomised by "American imperialism", has long enjoyed the backing of influential Muslim theologians. This is, perhaps, the first time that the philosophical gulf between Islam and Western civilisation has been delineated by someone who wields authority in the Christian world.
Pope Benedict, unlike many of his colleagues in Rome, has not succumbed to either the pretensions of Christian universalism or the mumbo jumbo of inter-faith dialogue. He has rightly viewed both Christianity and the Catholic Church as load-bearing pillars of Western civilisation.
We are all Papists now
Thank you very much for bringing us these photos.
I have linked your blog and have one of the photos posted.
God bless you and the Holy Father. (I am a Catholic) To tell you the truth, I am not afraid, but very inspired and filled with love for my Church for which I have, unfortunately, been lapsed in practicing the faith.
Godspeed, brother.
And to all commenters here and who were there to see this insulting presence in person, and are choosing to pray the rosary for these people's souls, I admire you greatly. I hope to have enough love in me one day to answer this kind of hate with as much love as you all have demonstrated.
Can Pope Benedict do for Islam what his illustrious predecessor did for Communism?
Thanks for posting this--I most appreciate that you took the time to pray for them. We should not underestimate the power of our prayers to change hearts and lives.
These people are insane. Don't they have anything better to do than swarm the streets (whether it be in Gaza, London, Lahore, wherever) every time somebody has the guts to point out that Islam IS intolerant. Muslims, by their actions, simply prove the point.
Peter Hitchins on Islam and its ythreat to Britain
If we bow to this manufactured, hypocritical fury, then we will already have lost one of the most important battles to face us.
While our silly leaders bleat and panic about terror threats, a far greater menace to our free societies comes from the growing power of Islam in our midst.
Much of that power results from the weak-kneed refusal of our own liberal elite to stand up for what is good about our Christian civilisation. Back the Pope.
IS THIS WHAT THEY MEAN BY 'MUSLIM TOLERANCE'?
Thank you for having the courage to get those revealing photographs and for placing them on your blog. It's important that we continue to expose the utter hypocrisy of these people and the blatant double standard under which they operate.
All of us who are trying to expose the truth thank you very much.
What insanity.
Thank you so much for taking the time - and risk - to expose these Muslims for the dangerous fanatics they are. Maybe someone will wake up and see the danger in our midst.
Great work
Keep up the good work. Perhaps the world will wake up soon and ask why we tolerate this kind of hate. The cartoons riots were bad enough.
Thank you for your report and pictures. My prayers are with you and the Holy Father.
I remember in first grade, the nuns telling us that one day we would all be persecuted for our belief. For years I thought that was a bag of wind. But in the past 5 years, I have personally experienced it and now see it again happening to my brethren. Once again, the nuns were right! You are in my prayers. Keep up the good work!
These people are hypocrits. Murder people in retaliation for being called murderers. This has become a time of Good vs. Evil more than ever. We must forego all political corectness and banish these people to the hell from which the came.
I'm not Catholic but it doesn't matter of course -- I am saddened by this terrible outpouring of hatred -- against both your religion and your Pope, who seems like a good and honorable leader. Thank you for your courage in posting these photos.
Thank you very much Joee Blogs!
The main stream media for so long has denied the existance of the worlds true enemy. With folks like you the word will continue to circulate.
The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things F29 that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
The cowards want to wave placards around and chant ridiculous slogans and threaten everybody, but they don't have the guts to show their faces while they do it. I have zero respect for this crowd.
It really shouldn't matter whether one is a Catholic or not to support the Catholics in this. The Pope made a fairly neutral observation about Islamism being spread largely by the sword, and the Islamites -- apparently free from the self-awareness that would stop such irony -- are threatening violence against the Pope.
BXVI seems like an honest if flawed man. In this case, he didn't do much of anything to generate such vituperation from the adherents of the so-called "Religion of Peace."
The silence of the alleged moderate Islamists speaks loudly here, too.
From an American Catholic to you mate, faith in God is all you have. No matter what or how they howl or threaten or even commit violence-DO NOT SUBMIT.
Joee,
Thank you for this post from Phoenix Arizona.
Hi Joee,
The pictures tell a thousand words and I've linked to this.
there was nothing said in the Pope's speech that was inaccurate, including the remarks by that fourteenth century Byzantine emperor who was under siege by Islamic hordes and who kingdom was soon to be the direct recipient of the Peace of Islam...with all that entails.
We should remember what happened to the Byzantines after their attempt at `interfaith dialogue'with Islam.
Perhaps that was one of the underlying messages of Pope Benedict's speech after all.
Joee,
Many thanks for this post and for the excellent pictures. It is frightening standing up to these lunatics, but rest assured that you have goodness and light on your side.

Joee - wonderful for you to share these with the world. As one who lives in the middle of the USA and sees little of these barbarians, I appreciate knowing how we can pray for the rest of the world.
For this and other things he's done recently, I'm about ready to adopt the Pope Benedict and claim him as my own (I'm an Anglican in America)!
God bless you and your family. Keep the faith and continue sharing it and exposing those who are coming so strongly against it (including many in the British Parliament, I fear). Fr. Tere
well, well, well...........so we finally have the truth coming out of Londonistan.I wonder what The Guardian opines........I have not seen anybody blaming the Jews or Israel..........Why don you tell your Loondonistan loyal citizens that the Jews and Israel control the Pope and are behind his statements.............ja, ja, ja
WAKE UP BRITS........ISLAM wants global "shaaria".......they don't care about Palestinians , Israelis, Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Christians, Buddists (remember the Taliban blowing the satues of Buddah)......just global Shaaria...............
Hello from New York State. I have been fighting these creatures in whatever ways I can also, and have also linked you on a couple of different sites. We know what's happening in Britain, and have wondered when you all will get fed up with PC, same as here. It's a-brewing, if you know what I mean. Keep up the good work. This menace must be overcome. They're getting more brazen by the second.

Thank you, Joee, for covering this story, at risk to your own safety. It is infuriating to see these barbarians being allowed to spread their hatred through these public tantrums. What has become of common sense and moral outrage on OUR side?
We stand with you, the Pope, and all true Christians in refusing to yield to the whims of these holier-than-thou thugs. Hopefully, the West will soon have had its fill of their behavior and the whuppin will commence.
Keep up the faith! -- a supporter from the US.
I have no time for Catholicism, the Pope or any other faith, but it still disgusts me that anyone feels they have a right to physically intimidate and threaten anyone else for practicing their private beliefs. Best wishes from an etheist!
I'm an Anglophile across the pond in New York City. Brother, I commend you. Hang tough and know that you did the right thing to pray for these people. Today I offered my mass for the Holy Father, that he be protected from these lunatics. Someone above asked if our present Holy Father could do for Islam what the previous did for Communism. In a word I say: yes. JPII consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I say BXVI should do the same for the Islamic world. If anyone will change their hearts, it would be her. Ad Jesume per Mariam.
Oh, one other thing. Benedict should make a very special response to the Islamic world. He should walk out to a podium in front of reporters with a slim binder under his arm. Open his binder, set it on the podium and and say:
"Quod erat demonstrandum." (Q.E.D.).
He should then calmly close his binder, tuck it under his arm, and walk off.
These morons have proven his point. You cannot have religious dialogue without reason.

This was all predicted, and predictable. Muslims getting angry over the slightest thing and threatening death? Never saw that coming.
England has historically been hostile to Catholics and Catholicism. It was no surprise to see the police doing nothing, nor of hearing any condemnation on the part of leaders against THIS kind of hatred.
Great work Joee. Like so many others I have also linked to your pictures here:

This is hatespeech, yet the police stand by as if they condone it.
Does every group get this treatment?
As a warrior, Muhammed is known to have beheaded thousands of his enemies, (GENOCIDAL MURDERER) he had over a dozen concubines, (SERIAL BIGAMIST AND ADULTERER) he "married' a girl under 12 years old (CHILD RAPIST) and we get the picture. These guys can't put their faith to reason. It's time to deport them as being enemies of civilization

I hope the police do prosecute these people, obviously it won't be any of the cowards who behind their scarves!
This country should ban the Burka, at least then we can see what we are dealing with, this country is too soft for its own good, hopefully one day we'll all wake up from this long slumber, before it is too late.
Well wishes to you Joe x
Thank you for sharing and letting us see how these barbarians proved Pope Benedict XVI's point. Yes, "... turn the other cheek" is fine. But it was Pope Urban II that sounded the call for the Crusades. Unfortunately, we did not learn the lessons of history. We are again called to defend the world from the evil and inhuman religion that is Islam. Pope Benedict XVI has sounded the call. The New Crusades is underway and the troops are marching on!
Deport those goat fuckers!!!!
Lest we react excessively to the behavior of some in the Muslim community (over what was admittedly the Pope's thoughtless quote of a 14th Century ecclesiastical person), let's remember that this, too, shall pass. The 2 1/2 centuries of the Spanish Inquisition, during which many lived in terror, passed. And the Moorish occupation of Spain for centuries had much more tolerance of Jews and other faiths than "Christian Europe" did at the time. The worst that we can do, then, in response to the extremist demonstrations is to become extreme in return. Jesus wasn't outraged at his unjust treatment by Pontius Pilate and the Roman soldiers, because he could see the Divine Good in each of them. Let his behavior be an example to each of us: that we see the Divine Good in all, regardless of creed, religion, ideology, etc.
Compare the treatment meted out to these primitive creatures outside of Westminster Cathedral with the evangelist who was arrested for passing out leaflets that had nothing but Bible verses about homosexuality on them.
I am quite sure that not one of the islamic 'lovers of peace' was arrested for hate crimes today. I guess British police are Christianophobic bigots. They should by their own laws be arrested as well.
"We will kill you all", say those followers of a supposedly peaceful religion. Send them back whence they came.
Bunch of assholes - are they so bloody stupid that they don't see the contradiction in what they are doing? Logic and reason are apparently beyond their intellectual capacity. The problem is their single-minded intolerance of anything that does not follow their specific beliefs, and that it must be wiped out at any cost. Supporting this is their belief that there is honor how you die, rather than how you live, as backwards as that is. They WANT to start a fight and they're doing everything they can to pick one - the Pope is just an excuse.
Never mind that their clerics rant about the genocide of all Christians and non-believers, noooo that's quite ok, but anyone dares suggest that maybe their violence and intolerance contradicts their own religion and all hell breaks loose and they behave like a pack of rapid dogs - so what do we do with rapid dogs? Shoot them. All of them. I've had ENOUGH of this SHIT. If they want to die so badly, then give them what they want and cut all the PC apologist crap.
This Scottish Jew, grew up with many good Catholic friends, and will always have an affinity, respect and affection for this peaceful, tolerant faith.
I am disgusted at the way Muslims have reacted to the pope's coments.
he is a good man.
When Muslims aren't damning Denmark, jews, america or any opther section of society, they will make sure they find someone. this week it is the Pope. Next week- is anyone's guess.
Just know that you are not alone, and that everyone I know is disgusted at this latest shameful performance by "angry young muslims".
Maybe they would do better to get a job, rather than hang around the streets waving banners carrying curses and death threats.
I hope the police do prosecute these hatemongers - it's enough already.
God bless Joee. Thanks for the post.
Thanks, Joee, from old Virginia for posting these photos.
There is a statue of King Richard the Lionhearted on horseback just outside the house of Parliament. How I wish that statue would come to life and ride right over these disgusting savages.
Islam out out out! We don't want you here in the West. Islam = peace & If you don't agree we'll behead you, It's time the people woke up to this evil in are mists.
Here via Michelle Malkin's site. Thank you for the photos. These people need to be arrested and deported. Absolutely terrifying.
Thanks to folks like you for showing to the world what these people are really all about!
Allah loves the Christians! Jesus curses the Muslim Islamofacists! Behead all those who speak against anything we non-muslims happen to choose as being worthy of beheading for! We are devout peace-loving non-muslims and believe in tolerance and peace, and anyone whom disagrees must DIE with extreme prejudice! and all their friends too.. and THEIR friends as well.. and all those whom might have been friends of theirs had they met them.. and thier families too.. and their dogs, especially if they're those silly little yappy dogs like that dirty evil whore slut daughter of satan Paris Hilton owns. BAH HUMBUG!
..oh, and peace be with you.
Those poor, poor misunderstood muslims.
Can you imagine what would happen if Christians of any denomination held a protest (of course OURS would be peaceful!) outside of a mosque?
You are in my prayers! Thank you for posting these pictures, its only through efforts like these that the truth about these thugs will be known....
Outrageous! IT would have been hard not to get into a slugfest!
That's an organized demonstration, not grassroots. All the signs have the same font, etc.
Tempest in a teapot, folks.

Hi there!
The link to your blogpost was posted on Freedominion.ca, Canada's largest conservative website/forum
I blogged about your post and entered it on the Canadian blog exchange. I am certain it will make the rounds of the English Canadian blogosphere.
I'll see if I can push it on the French blogosphere. The French conservatives would definitively be interested in this.
There is only one thing that can be done...CHRISTIAN JIHAD...pray that God would tear the veil of the devil's religion in two and that the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ would transform the lands held under darkness.
A tree is known by its fruit. The tree of Islam bears only rotten fruit. The devil was a thief and a murderer from the beginning - those of his religion do the same works. Mohammed (pain and suffering be eternally upon him) slaughtered all the Jews and Christians of his time in the real Dar Al Harb because they knew he was no real prophet; the muslims know that if the Gospel of Grace is ever forcefully preached again in Europe that the transformation will destroy their foot hold and their plans for a caliphate. If it ever is preached forcefully in muslim lands it will tear the devil's religion down to the ground and the only remnants of islam will be like heiroglyphs that adorn the walls in the tombs of the egyptian dead...may it be so!
The West, England and the rest of Europe - you have forgotten your first love. It was Christianity that made all the advances in the sciences and social structures that the West enjoys and the rest of the world benefits from possible. What has Islam given the world in the past 1000 yrs that is not evil and inhuman?
But the West has turned from God and has trampled on the Gospel of Grace and now the the dogs howl and bark at the gates. We call that which is good evil and that which is evil good.
Democracy and Islam can never be reconciled nor will they ever be able to coexist.
Thanks for the photos. Sort of give us all a better perspective of the hypocracy. Anyways, Cheers from the Great White North.
Thank you for posting these. I am taking the liberty of linking to them, if that is all right.
As someone in America, I am grateful for this coverage of the backlash on the Pope. We won't get any of this on our media either.
I will pray for all of you over there in Great Britan. God Bless you for telling the truth!
Though an Israeli Jewess, I am well aware of the great contribution of Christianity to global civilisation. I would like to say to all those who bring up past Christian wrongdoings: please remember that nobody's history is perfect, that good people learn from mistakes, and that what matters is the present. It soothes my heart to read Jewish blogs and see that so many Jews today support the Pope. Today we are all papists.
God Bless you, Anat!!! Thank you so much!
Such irony. Persecutions of Catholics in England from c. 1535 (death of Thomas More) to c. 1827 (Catholic Emancipation) with the odd no-popery riot or speech in Hyde Park until, hmm, 1975? And now a no-popery demonstration by a bunch of goons who (or whose parents) got to England...when? Thirty-five years ago, tops. It's almost funny. Hang in there, brother. "To hell with the pope" is an old, old song. Say, has anyone else thinking about G.K. Chesterton today?
Great job. Please continue commenting and posting on this subject.
Not a bad day's work. Went to Mass at a Cathedral, shot photos that went round the world, and did our Lord proud by praying for those who cursed you. Well done, my Brother in Christ!
Great work young man, you are a credit to the cuase of freedom, do not fear. Millions will see this and stand with you. Many thanks for your outstanding instinct to document this horrible provocation.
Well done, Joee Bloggs, for you have succeeded where those foolish traitors at the BBC have failed.
I have posted a link to your photos on Western Resistance:

Thank you, and we admire your courageous act of standing up to hate.
I personally am not religious, but you are closer to God than these worshippers of a child-molester will ever be.
God bless you.
Many thanks for exposing this, well done.
We are all Catholics now.
God protect the Pope.
Sky News vote results show that 92% of voters say that the Pope should not apologise. Only 8% say that he should apologise.

Thank you for having the courage to show these pictures.
Will 'moderate' Muslim community leaders come out and condemn the sentiments within them. I suspect not.
I agreed wholeheartedly with the appropriateness and truth of the Popes initial quote. Such statement from one of his stature about the nature of historic Islam has been overdue. I was hoping he would not apologize for speaking the truth.
But I don't understand his most recent statement which appears to contradict the purpose of his original statement, to wit:
"These in fact were quotations from a medieval text, which do not in any way express my personal thought..."
They don't express his personal thought? I would think the quote should express his personal thought now more than ever, after the world once again experienced the all too common nature of those who espouse the misnamed "religion of peace" via psychotic vitriole, riot and murder, again proving their fascist belief system to be, as many bloggers have affirmed, "the religion of perpetual outrage." Let us not be intimidated into silencing the truth that Islamic psychopaths make ever more evident with every outrageous knee jerk reaction. If the United Nations were truly effective, they would enroll a few million Muslim in one large anger management counseling session. Heavens knows they need it!
Thanks for the pics. Don't ever hesitate to expose them. It's the right thing to do.

God save and protect the Pope
Hiding under kufias and threatening violence sure does show what a peaceful and tolerant religion Islam is??????? Who do they think they are fooling????
killing of nun, bombing of churches, doesn't it TRULY reflect how muslim spread thier believe? Pope is juz quoting the fact..
Thanks for the pictures.

Can I just say that it is outrageous that Joee Bloggs should have to 'feel uneasy about posting this' (as is stated at the top of this item): this statement demonstrates the level of fear that Muslims have caused in decent people. In a free world it is disguting that people should be made to feel 'uneasy' about posting some pictures of a current event.
It is all the more to Joee Bloggs' credit that he felt uneasy and did it anyway. However, nobody should be made to feel like that. This is wrong.
I agree. I hesitated posting anything about it on my blog for reasons of fear as well. Terrorism in the guise of "political correctness."
Anonymous at 10:35
Interesting that you understand Joee's "feel uneasy about posting this" as fear of Muslims. I understood it differently, that he felt reluctant to post about evil for the same reason that made him pray for them, which is love of mankind.
This is how it should be; when people of good will are forced to war, verbally or physically, it should be only after overcoming great reluctance.
"Jesus is the slave of Allah" ???
Vey odd
Isn't he recognised as one of the four key prophets in Islam????
I know Westminster Cathedral so well, having visited it more times than I can count, that the sight of these arrogant bastards desecrating its precincts with their filth gives me the creeps.
Thanks for exposing this, Joee. You've done us all a favour. I wonder if they'll be prosecuted now? Somehow, I've got my doubts.
Keep it up!
Great job! Keep up the good work!
It would've been nice to see the Cathedral's clergy come out & sprinkle those kaffiyehed klowns with holy water. That would've broken up their little party (even assuming they didn't burst into flame)!
Islam is a 'beautiful' religion?!? Cutting off heads, hands, feet, fingertips, beating women, killing and persecuting non-Muslims, high unemployment rates and laziness, illiterate and ignorant, mean-spirited demonized mullahs & clerics, etc.,. Oh yes, THE BEAUTY OF ISLAM! Mohammed terrorized, killed, raped, was a pedophile (Aisha was 9 yrs old), stole, etc...nothing 'holy' about that! He twisted the Old and New Testaments to form HIS new religion which he used to satisfy his unholy and immoral lusts. Now this demonic 'prophet' is burning day and night in hell along with his false god allah.

Plase READ SOME HISTORY!
The pope used Manuel Palailogos quotes. Manuel's son, Saint Constantine XI was a martyr. He was the last Greek emperor and his died when the mongol muslim turks conquered Cosntantinople (which is wrongly called Istanbul). Manuel just predicted the fate of his people. For 4 days muslim turks were killing, raping, looting and they turned the largest christian temple (St.Sophia) into a mosque. Palaiologos' family, those who did not run away to Rome and Russia, became slaves, while Notaras' young boy was asked to be raped from MehmetII.
Does Islam respects other religions?
No, Islamist are occupying the largest Christian church in Constantinople, they do not recognise the ecumenical patriarche (the leader of half billion orthodox christians and so on (genocide of armenians, of greeks in asia minor, of koptes in south african and so on).
What about modern Islam?
Yeah, have a look to north cyprus and see what happened there. Churches were turned to mosques, barracks or pighouses. This is moden Islam, while they are getting money from rich british who are buying ILLEGALY land that belongs to christians, with the support of Tony Blair and his wife (see the case of Cyprus vs Oldams)
Conclusion
Can we accept a muslim nation that occupied a christian nation in EU?
Ofcourse no, READ SOME BLOODY HISTORY! Manuel II Palaiologos predicted his sone's and Greek's fate. Read some history, what he said is what really happened to the Byzantine empire and the Greek nation. Think that by 1400 Greece and Byaabntium were some of the most advanced nationsin the world. After 400 years of muslim-turkish occupation, in 1828 when moden greece was found the state was the poorest in the world. Muslim occupation drove greece to the stone age and it has not fully recovered yet. IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN TO EUROPE?
sorry about my mistakes. I was pissed off when i read my articles. Having friends and relates from Constantinople, Pontos, Smirna (Izmir in Mongols) Kappadocia and other christian areas which are under Muslim occupation and their grand fathers and motehrs were victims of the genocide that occured from muslims in 1913-1922, i feel that british and others are not aware of what has happened nor they ever head of the martyr called Constnatine XI Palailogos, who's father quotes were used from the Pope. Dont forget that the largest Christian temple is been vandalised from muslims and they deny the operation of this church as christian temple, while we accept thousend of mosques to operate in Europe.
http://www.freeagiasophia.org/
As a non religious person myself but with friends from many faiths except the cult of islam i say keep up the good work and lets drive our message home.
I cant believe people like that live in England
i am a Greek atheist (merely believing to the Greek ancient philosophy and science) but i ve gone crazy with what i read. I also agree with my co-patriot Chris Mantas. People in Britain and American do not know who was Manuel II Palaiologos and for the 400 years of muslim darkness. British have never been occupied from Muslims to see how "nice" it is.
These guys are idiots, and have a long history of turning up at other people's demonstrations and ruining them by chanting hostile slogans (I know this by talking to the organiser of one of the demos they ruined). They are the remnants of al-Muhajiroun, and I wonder if the police should not have arrested them if they were clearly acting as the same group that were proscribed a few months ago.
There are not much more in the whole group than were present at Westminster cathedral anyway; they are extremely unrepresentative. If they knew much about Islam they would know that it is forbidden to curse a living person because it is not known in what state that person will die. Their antics are such an embarrassment that many Muslims believe they are agents provocateurs and that the embarrassment is deliberate (notice the way Omar Bakri, their old leader, was able to slope off to Lebanon when things got too hot in this country).
Post from Austria!
How long will you Britons accept become offended by such persons? How long will you bear the cruelty of their inhumane behaviour towards you? When you are killed by them? But then it´s too late for you. Take care of your freedom! Don´t make yourself slaves of the Political Correctness which allows fanatics to threaten you while the freedom loving people will become ajudged in court for "racism".
Well done Joee. So many supportive comments I haven't time to read them through. Will link to this post on my blog.
The sad thing is the Pope's words weren't directed at Moslems!
I wish and pray that these horrible people will see the light. They're lost in the darkness of their hate, believing lies.
I hope that parishioners will continue to worship safely in your country. Your Catholic brothers and sisters are in our prayers! As are all the other Christians in dangerous territories.
God Bless you!

This post has been removed by a blog administrator.
Joee, I think I can see why you felt uneasy about publishing the photos -- I felt a bit uneasy about linking to them -- but I think you did the right thing. I see that one British Muslim blogger, thinks that his co-religionists' reaction, 'which once again makes us all look like senseless rabble, has done Islam a far worse disservice than anything Ratzinger has said, either in Regensburg last week or in his entire career.'
I've had to turn comment moderation on again since some of the comments show as much hatred as these extremists in the pictures.
I'll post again about this but I'd like three things to be noted:
1) These were 100 Muslims out of the 2 million (ish?) living in Britain. Thus this is hardly representative of all muslims.
2) The Pope's speech reiterated Christ's words to love your enemies, and not to commit violence in the name of religion. Further, Christ gives us a difficult commandment (Mt 5:28) that even to think of evil is as good as committing it.
3) I prayed the rosary for their intentions.
4) I don't give my permission for the BNP to use my photos.
Thank you for posting these pictures. It's almost beyond the bounds of credibility that this demo was allowed to take place at all. They are making a rod for their own back and if they think that by demonstrating in such a way will gain them sympathy then they are sadly misguided.
Long may your brave blog continue.
The Muslim fanatics who demonstrated yesterday Sunday in London outside Westminster Cathedral only reinforce what the Pope said in in his lecture on Islam.
Their placards read "Go to Hell Pope" and "Islam will conquer Rome".
I don't see Christians rioting in the streets about this?
When the Pope quoted the 14th century Byzantine Christian Emperor Manuel II Palaeologus as saying
"Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."
Is only historical fact about what happened at the time from the 10th to 14th Century, namely that the ancestors of many muslims living today had been converted to Islam by the sword. The Emperor was saying that this was evil and inhuman.
If the truth hurts, then this cannot be blamed on the Holy Father. The muslim extremists by their violence on confirm what the Emperor said.
Well done on those photos.
The news barely reported these demonstrations so I'm glad you did. Once again, blogging trumps the news agencies!
In my opinion, non-British citizens among those hateful protesters ought to be deported!
God bless.
Thank you for your post. I'll link it to my blog.
Be brave, stay strong and take courage in Our Lady's intercession, as well as that of all the English Martyrs. Even though I'm an ex-pat, I'm with you in prayer and will pray the rosary daily for you all.
Joee--God bless you for your heart of peace. I've blogged about your Christ-like behavior: http://charis.danbutcher.com/2006/09/praying-for-our-enemies/
Bless you!
Dan's blog is pretty good - he gives me more credit than is due!
http://charis.danbutcher.com/2006/09/praying-for-our-enemies/
He's right though - some of these comments show as much hatred and are as shocking as the actual protestors.
I recomend a look at his blog.
Dear Mr Bloggs,
just to say thank you for publishing the pics. Not a word of this from the BBC, our so called national broadcaster.
Thanks again
Nick Lasalle
I'm not the same rabbit that commented earlier. Texas rabbit here.
Thank you for the pictures. The world needs to see them.
God Bless ans Keep you.
Well the public have woken up, only the politicians with their head in the sand now.
Bring on the backlash!
Great job on the photos. I don't think the Beeb will cover the story.
It really shows that even the wee often unread blogs can make some serious contributions.
Thanks for bringing these pictures and information to the global audience. You have my support.
God Bless you!!! Thank you for covering this.
I am appalled by the reaction to the Holy Father's lecture but unfortunately not surprised by it. The wordls of Emperor Manuel II Paleologos are being proven to be very true and right.
I will pray you are kept safe from those who would seek to harm you. May God prtoect ALL people from the savages who seek our destruction and submission.
As a memeber of the Russian Orthodox church, I send my love and support to my Catholic brothers and sisters! AS an American, I send my love and support to my British brothers and sisters! (as well as my thanks...)

I'm curious--how many worshipers were there at the service you attended?
Joee,
Is it alright for me to use the last picture: 'jesus slave of allah' for my blogpost about your article?
Michael
I assume it to be alright for me to use the picture I mentioned before, if not, let me know and I will remove it from my article.
Thanks for the photos. I thought I might just add a few words in response to your statemnt that " I've had to turn comment moderation on again since some of the comments show as much hatred as these extremists in the pictures".
I fully understand your situation and wish that everyone took the time to review their thoughts before just blurting them out.
However, this situation is now beyond the point-of-no-return. It won't simply settle down, and the Unmmah will not suddenly decide to become 'rational'. Those famous' moderate Muslims' have totally lost any control of their 'cult. They have no chance whatsoever of getting it back unless they stand up to those few hundred 'militants'.
But they won't.
I object to some descriptions of Islam as well, I think they are a little overboard. But this is clearly becoming a CONFLICT SITUATION and as it heats up(and it will), the oldies bur goldies will come back into fashion.
One of those is the demonisation of the ENEMY. So far only one side has indulged in this motivational technique. That is going to change.
I respect your intent to keep things on a 'high moral plane',and not allow the wholesale classification of a group on your blog. I just think it is not a sustainable process.
The 'militants' of the Ummah are determined to succeed, and they will keep 'bringing it', until they are met with a display of catastrophic force and will. I'm afraid that trying to prevent the inevitable 'demonisation' of Islam, is akin to forbidding the tide to rise. Islam is demonisizing itself. It's now merely a when not of whether.
I'm an atheist and an ex-Catholic. The only belief I have is that everyone has a right to their beliefs and should be able to practise their religion without fear of intimidation or violence.
Your dignified restraint in the face of these thugs' provocation is a testimony to your strength and good character. You have my very best wishes.
I never thought I would see the day when I was once again defending the rights of the Vicar of Rome.
Joee nice post man!
Looks like the mad lovers of Muhammad are proving the pope right...
"We will show you we are the religion of peace by murdering people and shouting hateful things!!!"
WOW some folks are really dumb...
Joee, such serious oxygen, real/practicing Catholic faith.

Hi Joee,
I work for BBC News, we have just received a link to your blog and are very interested in using your pictures for a TV package. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind having a quick chat with me. If so, email me your tel.

Many thanks, Marianne
Joee--Thanks for pointing folks to my post this morning. This situation provides a great opportunity for Christians to consider how we put Jesus' words into action. It's one thing to say we believe we are called to love; it's another, often more difficult, thing to actually love when confronted with hatred. I appreciate your example as well as the chance to consider my own reactions.
Blessed the peacemaker dan, I hope more ppl see your blog post and the love that we should show in the face of hatred.

So lovely to read your comment that you love the rosary too, thank you so much for your comments. perhaps you could also pray the rosary for these extremist muslims?
Another disgraceful 'protest' in the name of islam.
typical, intolerant islam...they dont do themselves any favours.
im not a religious man, but "Go Pope!"
at least someone was semi-standing up to the bullyboy tactics of the muslims

How does one practice one’s faith in the face of violence, hatred, irrationality and threats?
Cheers for the comment...
Ans: Prayer
Anyway it sounds like how Catholics have faced the world for the last 2000 years. Remember only a few days ago a nun was martyred for being Catholic in the face of Muslim extremists.

As a Protestant you have my complete support. As one old gentleman said on ITV 11.00pm news today "Its disgraceful we wouldent get away with doing that outside a mosque."
Cheers for your support Joe!
Gerald Augustinus, wow I got onto that famous of Catholic Blogs! go me! cheers for linkin' me.
Good job posting these photos. I wonder how many of the people out there protesting are on some sort of government assistance. Nice.
Greetings from Germany,
why are British Policemen standing around criminals? Is the police guarding these shmocks? In Germany we have the legal situation: people, demanding death for others, can be sent to prison.
We call this "Volksverhetzung"
Sorry about my bad english ... :o)
I just hope incidents like this will bring Europe closer to your friends here in the US. For all the Anti-US and Jewish sentiment that has floating around Europe the past 5 years, just remember it not those people blowing up your trains, killing your filmmakers, raping your daughters, or demanding you change your laws to fit there religion. Remember how we fought side side to fight the evil that was the Nazis and how we worked together to contain communism. Don't let this scum pull us apart. We should be as brothers in democracy and Christianity.
